Takashi Kamei is Hospital Director of Tohoku University Hospital in Sendai, the only Designated Special Functioning Hospital in Miyagi Prefecture and a Clinical Research Core Hospital and Designated Core Hospital for Cancer Genomic Medicine for the Tohoku region. In his director's message he frames the hospital's mission as providing the best possible treatment while empathising with patients, and commits it to advanced care, training healthcare professionals and innovative treatments for communities across Tohoku. The hospital traces its history to 1915.
