Clinical trials supply the study drug and trial-related tests free, but travel and time away from work fall on the patient and are the reason many people, especially those on low incomes, never enrol. Lazarex reimburses those out-of-pocket costs for patients and a companion for the duration of the trial, with income-based eligibility, and runs programmes with cancer centres to improve access for under-represented communities.
