LIVESTRONG at the YMCA
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free twelve-week exercise programme for adults who have had cancer, run at YMCAs across the US.
Overview
Exercise after cancer treatment improves fitness, fatigue and quality of life, and structured programmes are now recommended in guidelines. LIVESTRONG at the YMCA delivers one: adult survivors meet twice a week for twelve weeks with instructors trained in cancer exercise, and participants get a Y membership for the programme. It is free at participating YMCAs and the Livestrong site lists locations.
