ACS Hope Lodge
Hope Lodge gives patients and a caregiver a free place to stay near the hospital when treatment is far from home.
Overview
Hope Lodge communities are run by the American Cancer Society in cities with major cancer centres. Patients in active outpatient treatment who live a set distance away can stay free with one caregiver, for as long as treatment lasts, with private rooms and shared kitchens and living areas. Referral comes through the treating hospital or the ACS helpline; demand is high and rooms are allocated by availability.
