ACS Road To Recovery
Road To Recovery is the American Cancer Society's free volunteer driving service for getting to treatment appointments.
Overview
Many patients miss or delay treatment because they cannot get there. Road To Recovery matches patients who can walk unaided to volunteer drivers who take them to and from appointments at no cost. Rides are requested through the ACS helpline, ideally several days ahead, and coverage varies by area because it depends on local volunteers. Where no driver is available the helpline can suggest other transport help.
