First Descents takes young adults with cancer on free week-long outdoor adventures, with the travel paid for too.
Overview
First Descents runs week-long kayaking, climbing and surfing programmes for young adults with cancer, and for those living with other serious illnesses, at no cost. Adolescents and young adults are the group most under-served by cancer support, and the programmes are built around peer connection as much as adventure. Travel scholarships cover getting there.
