Sharsheret is a US national organisation serving Jewish women and families, a community with a high rate of BRCA founder variants. Its genetics programme lets anyone speak with a certified genetic counsellor about family history, testing and results at no cost; its peer support network pairs callers with a woman who has had a similar experience; and its social workers help with the practical and emotional load. Services are free and open to all, regardless of background.
