CREATE Medicines, formerly Myeloid Therapeutics, uses messenger RNA in fat particles, given by drip, to teach a patient's own immune cells inside the body to attack cancer, without collecting and engineering cells in a laboratory. Its cancer trials are in liver, stomach and oesophageal cancers and other solid tumours.
CREATE Medicines, renamed from Myeloid Therapeutics in 2025, develops in vivo CAR therapies: mRNA lipid nanoparticles that program T cells, NK cells and myeloid cells inside the body to express a chimeric antigen receptor, allowing repeat dosing without lymphodepletion or ex vivo cell manufacture. Its oncology pipeline lists MT-302 (TROP2-directed, myeloid cells; phase 1 NCT05969041 in advanced epithelial tumours, and the investigator-led SPaCE-MT trial at Amsterdam UMC combining it with CAPOX-based first-line treatment in advanced gastro-oesophageal cancer), MT-303 (GPC3-directed, myeloid cells; phase 1 NCT06478693 in hepatocellular carcinoma, including a first-line cohort with atezolizumab and bevacizumab), MT-304 (HER2-directed, NK and myeloid cells; phase 1 NCT07334119) and a programme directed at both HER2 and TROP2 (T, NK and myeloid cells), all shown at clinical stage. It also develops CD19 and CD19 x BCMA in vivo CAR-T programmes for autoimmune disease and an RNA gene-integration system called RetroT. The company says more than 60 patients have been dosed across its in vivo CAR programmes. In 2026 it formed collaborations with Monash University and WestGene Biopharma, adding to one with Acuitas Therapeutics.
MT-302 programs myeloid immune cells inside the body to recognise TROP-2-bearing cancers. It is an experimental treatment in an early clinical trial.
MT-303 is an experimental in vivo CAR therapy from CREATE Medicines, in phase 1 trials for liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma).
MT-304 is an experimental in vivo CAR therapy from CREATE Medicines, in phase 1 trials for solid tumours that carry HER2.
