FidoCure
FidoCure sequences the tumours of dogs with cancer and matches them to targeted drugs, bringing precision medicine to veterinary oncology and building a dataset that also informs human cancer research.
Overview
FidoCure offers tumour genomic sequencing and off-label targeted therapies to veterinary oncologists treating dogs with cancer, through a network the company says covers over 140 clinics in the United States. Because many canine cancers share driver mutations with human tumours, the accumulating outcomes data is used for comparative oncology, and FidoCure has published on genomic landscapes and targeted-therapy outcomes in dogs. It is a veterinary business, included here because cancer in companion animals is a recognised model for the human disease.
