GenomeFrontier Therapeutics makes CAR T-cell therapies, in which a patient's own immune cells are engineered to attack cancer, using a method that does not need a virus to carry the new gene. Its first product targets two markers on B-cell lymphoma cells.
GenomeFrontier Therapeutics, headquartered in Xizhi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, develops CAR T and TCR T cell therapies with its Quantum Engine system, which combines four virus-free gene and cell engineering platforms including a piggyBac-based vector (Quantum pBac) and a delivery method it calls Quantum Nufect. Its lead product GF-CART01 is a dual-targeting CD20/CD19 CAR T with a safety switch, in a phase 1 3+3 dose-escalation study (NCT06703892) in relapsed or refractory B-cell haematological malignancies including diffuse large B-cell, follicular and primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma, at a site in Taipei. GF-CART02 targets multiple myeloma and GF-CART03 is an armoured multi-target CAR T for solid tumours. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06703892, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in November 2024.
