Overview
Hologic's Selenia Dimensions was the first digital breast tomosynthesis system approved by the FDA (2011). Its diagnostics arm sells the Aptima HPV assay and ThinPrep cytology, and the Genius Digital Diagnostics AI cytology system; it acquired Biotheranostics (Breast Cancer Index) in 2021. In 2025 Hologic agreed to be taken private by Blackstone and TPG.
