Organon & Co.
Organon is the women's health and established-medicines company spun off from Merck & Co. in 2021, based in Jersey City; it carries the name of the Dutch firm founded in 1923 and appears as sponsor of older cancer trials run under that name.
Overview
Organon & Co. was spun out of Merck & Co. in June 2021 with a portfolio of women's health medicines, biosimilars and established brands, and is headquartered at 30 Hudson Street, Jersey City, New Jersey. It inherits the name of Organon, the Dutch pharmaceutical company founded in Oss in 1923 that passed through Akzo Nobel, Schering-Plough and Merck, under which phase 3 cancer trials were registered on ClinicalTrials.gov. Its biosimilar business, partnered with Samsung Bioepis, includes oncology biosimilars in some markets.
