Viatris
Viatris is the generics and biosimilars group formed in 2020 from Mylan and Pfizer's Upjohn; in cancer care it supplies generic chemotherapies and biosimilar trastuzumab and pegfilgrastim, and Mylan's phase 3 biosimilar trials sit under its name.
Overview
Viatris was created in November 2020 by the merger of Mylan with Upjohn, Pfizer's off-patent medicines business, and is headquartered in Pittsburgh. Its oncology footprint is generic injectable chemotherapies and biosimilars developed with Biocon, including trastuzumab (Ogivri) and pegfilgrastim (Fulphila), whose comparative phase 3 trials were run by Mylan. ClinicalTrials.gov lists Mylan as lead sponsor of those trials, which OnCo attributes to Viatris.

Pegfilgrastim (Neulasta) is a long-acting form of the growth factor G-CSF, given once per chemotherapy cycle to speed white cell recovery and prevent febrile neutropenia; one dose replaces about eleven daily filgrastim injections. Biosimilars have been sold since 2018 and the Onpro on-body injector delivers it automatically the day after chemotherapy; bone pain is the main side effect.
