Overview
Dr. Reddy's was founded in 1984 by Kallam Anji Reddy and is listed on the NSE, BSE and NYSE. It was an early mover in biosimilars: its rituximab, Reditux, was approved in India in 2007, the first rituximab biosimilar anywhere, and its EU rituximab (Ituxredi) was authorised in September 2024 at a price several times below the reference brand. The company is a major supplier of oncology generics (abiraterone, bortezomib, azacitidine, decitabine and many injectables) to the US and India, and its oncology-focused subsidiary Aurigene runs discovery and clinical programmes. Dr. Reddy's also in-licenses innovative oncology products for India.

Rituximab was the first antibody ever approved for cancer (1997). It made chemoimmunotherapy the CLL standard for a decade, and biosimilars keep it cheap and everywhere.
Abiraterone is a pill that shuts down testosterone production everywhere, including inside the tumour. Discovered at the Institute of Cancer Research, now generic and used from the first metastatic diagnosis.
Bortezomib was the first proteasome inhibitor: it jams the cell's protein-recycling machine, which antibody-factory plasma cells cannot tolerate.
A gentle chemotherapy that switches silenced genes back on. With venetoclax it became the standard for older people with AML who cannot take intensive treatment.
