Senti Bio builds programmable 'gene circuits' into immune cells so they can tell cancer cells from healthy ones. Its lead product, SENTI-202, is an off-the-shelf CAR-NK cell therapy, made from donor natural killer cells, for acute myeloid leukaemia.
Senti Biosciences Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNTI), at 2 Corporate Drive in South San Francisco, uses a synthetic biology platform to engineer gene circuits into cell and gene therapies; its co-founder and chief executive is Tim Lu. The company says it is primarily focused on oncology cell therapy. Its lead product SENTI-202 is an off-the-shelf, logic-gated CAR-NK cell therapy directed at CD33 and/or FLT3 on leukaemia cells; the company has reported positive preliminary efficacy data, which were not read for this record. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06325748 (SENTI-202-101), a phase 1 multicentre study of SENTI-202 in CD33- and/or FLT3-expressing haematological malignancies including acute myeloid leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndromes, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in March 2024.
