Lapiteronel (LAE001) is a small molecule from Laekna Therapeutics. Blocks CYP17A1 and CYP11B2, enzymes that make androgen and aldosterone hormones. Laekna licensed it from Novartis in 2017. Its pipeline lists lapiteronel with afuresertib and prednisone in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer as a US phase 3 programme; the registered company trials found are phase 1/2 (NCT04060394, completed, and NCT03843918, terminated). OnCo has no CYP11B2 target record.
