Myriad Genetics' whole-genome blood test for leftover cancer, launched in 2026 for breast cancer and extended to bowel and kidney cancer.
Myriad Genetics launched Precise MRD on 2 March 2026 with a select number of oncology practices for patients with breast cancer, describing whole-genome sequencing of the tumour to build a personalised assay with detection of ctDNA down to one part per million. On 23 June 2026 it broadened availability to patients being treated or followed for breast, colorectal and renal cancer, stating that the panel holds up to 1,000 patient-specific variants, and announced publication of the MONITOR-Breast study of ctDNA during neoadjuvant therapy in Future Oncology.
Whole-genome sequencing of tumour tissue builds a panel of up to 1,000 patient-specific variants that is tracked in plasma, with stated detection down to one part per million.
