The NHS genetics service for the East of England and the East Midlands: if your cancer or family history meets the national criteria, your hospital team or GP refers you here for genetic counselling and inherited cancer gene tests, free on the NHS.
East Genomics states that it supports NHS genetic testing for patients across the East of England and East Midlands, and that clinical genetics teams help clinicians order and interpret tests; its news includes Lynch syndrome testing in cancer. It is one of seven Genomic Laboratory Hubs that together co-ordinate all NHS genomic testing in England, each paired with a regional Genomic Medicine Service Alliance that delivers the clinical care of patients having genomic testing (Health Education England's GeNotes). The lead trust is Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
