Kuopio University Hospital Cancer Center

Kuopio University Hospital (KYS) is one of Finland's five university hospitals and the teaching hospital of the University of Eastern Finland. Its Cancer Center hosts the Eastern Finland Cancer Centre (FICAN East), one of the five regional centres of the national Finnish Cancer Centre network, coordinating cancer care, clinical trials and research across the eastern part of the country. Research strengths include radiotherapy physics, neuro-oncology, breast cancer genetics and the population cohorts of eastern Finland. The centre holds OECI Cancer Centre accreditation.
