Turku University Hospital Cancer Centre

Turku University Hospital (Tyks) is the tertiary hospital for the Wellbeing Services County of Southwest Finland and the teaching hospital of the University of Turku. Its Cancer Centre hosts the Western Finland Cancer Centre (FICAN West) within the national Finnish Cancer Centre network and is accredited by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes as a Cancer Centre. Turku is home to the national Turku PET Centre, which supports molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical research in oncology, and the hospital's research groups are active in prostate cancer, breast cancer and haematological malignancies alongside the University of Turku's Institute of Biomedicine.
