A US charity for people with leiomyosarcoma offering education, one-to-one support and research funding, and running an international leiomyosarcoma research roundtable.
The National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation says on its home page that it provides education, support, research funding and advocacy for the leiomyosarcoma community worldwide, with patient-friendly information, help finding knowledgeable specialists and direct support from diagnosis through survivorship. It runs the NLMSF-SPAEN International Research Roundtable, whose working groups bring researchers and clinicians together on leiomyosarcoma. The home page says the Leiomyosarcoma Global Consensus Group, which includes the foundation, published the first international consensus on diagnosing and managing soft tissue and visceral leiomyosarcoma, alongside a 2021 NLMSF consensus paper. The IRS lists it as a 501(c)(3) charity in Denver, Colorado, with tax exemption from August 2002.
