A small US charity, formerly called Sara's Cure, for people with clear cell sarcoma, a very rare soft tissue cancer: patient community, education and support for research.
The Clear Cell Sarcoma Foundation, formerly known as Sara's Cure, says on its home page that it began with two parents seeking a cure for their daughter Sara and is a grassroots non-profit organisation that educates people and raises awareness about this ultra-rare cancer while supporting research. Its stated mission is to make clear cell sarcoma universally survivable through education and research, while giving patients and caregivers a voice. It offers a place for patients and caregivers to share and find support, works to connect physicians who know the disease, and says its patients and caregivers have taken part in FDA listening sessions, focus groups and industry webinars. The IRS still lists it under the name Saras Cure, a 501(c)(3) charity in Charleston, South Carolina, with tax exemption from May 2018.
