Seoul St. Mary's Hospital

aka Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, 서울성모병원

Korea's largest blood cancer centre, where much of the country's haematopoietic transplant and leukaemia expertise was built.

Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, the flagship of the Catholic Medical Center, opened its current campus in 2009 and houses the Catholic Hematology Hospital, Korea's highest-volume haematopoietic stem cell transplant programme and a national leader in acute leukaemia, myeloma and chronic myeloid leukaemia research (including early Asian trials of tyrosine kinase inhibitors led by Dong-Wook Kim). The hospital also runs a comprehensive cancer hospital with breast, thyroid, colorectal and lung programmes, robotic surgery, and a proton therapy project, and it is a frequent Korean site for haematology and solid tumour registration trials.
