World Journal of Surgical Oncology is an open access journal launched by BioMed Central in London in February 2003 and now hosted on Springer Nature Link (Crossref: Springer, BioMed Central). Its aims and scope page says it publishes articles on surgical oncology and allied subjects such as epidemiology, cancer research, biomarkers, prevention, pathology, radiology, cancer treatment, clinical trials, multimodality treatment and molecular biology, with emphasis on original research plus significant clinical case reports and reviews on selected topics; it aims to keep surgical oncologists abreast of developments across the continuum of care. DOAJ lists it as open access since 2003 with CC BY and CC BY-NC-ND licences, an article processing charge and anonymous peer review. Indexed for MEDLINE under Neoplasms/surgery.
