The Birmingham surgeon who chairs FOxTROT and runs the surgical trials programme that tests how bowel cancer operations are done, not just which drugs come with them.
Dion Morton is Barling Professor of Surgery at the University of Birmingham, appointed Professor of Surgery in 2006 and to the Barling Chair in 2015, and is surgery section head in the Department of Cancer and Genomic Sciences. His university page lists him on the trial management groups of ISAAC, CReST, TREC, FOxTROT (as chair), ROSSINI, ARISTOTLE and DREAMs. He is first author of the mature FOxTROT results; the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit sponsors STAR-TREC and the ROSSINI surgical site infection trials.
