Overview
Emer Cooke has been Executive Director of the European Medicines Agency since 16 November 2020. A pharmacist by training, she previously led regulation of medicines and health technologies at the World Health Organization and held earlier roles at the EMA and the European Commission. She heads the agency responsible for the scientific evaluation and supervision of medicines, including oncology products, across the European Union.
