Paris paediatric neuro-oncologist who led HERBY, the trial that showed adding bevacizumab does not help children with high-grade glioma, and who leads European trials in diffuse midline glioma.
Overview
Jacques Grill leads paediatric neuro-oncology at Gustave Roussy and the BIOMEDE programme of biology-driven trials for diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma. He was first author of the 2018 Journal of Clinical Oncology report of HERBY, the randomised trial in which bevacizumab added to radiotherapy and temozolomide did not improve event-free survival in children with newly diagnosed non-brainstem high-grade glioma. He chairs the SIOP Europe high-grade glioma group.
