John-Arne Røttingen is Chief Executive Officer of Wellcome, the London-based charitable foundation that funds discovery science and health research, including cancer biology and genomics through institutions such as the Wellcome Sanger Institute. A physician and former Norwegian ambassador for global health, he previously led the Research Council of Norway and was founding CEO of CEPI.
