Luis Eduardo Martín Rodríguez
Physician who directs Cuba's Instituto Nacional de Oncología y Radiobiología in Havana, the country's lead institution for cancer treatment, research and training.
Overview
Dr Luis Eduardo Martín Rodríguez is Director of the Instituto de Oncología y Radiobiología (INOR) in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality of Havana, which the institute describes as the Ministry of Public Health's national reference centre (centro rector) for cancer treatment, research, training and the national cancer registry. Cubadebate named him as director on 4 June 2026, when the institute opened a new outpatient treatment unit for chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care in the year of its 60th anniversary, and reported that he had hosted President Díaz-Canel's visit to the institute in February 2026. The institute's own website does not list its management, so the role was confirmed from the Cuban press.
