Overview
Marcela Maus leads a laboratory that engineers CAR T cells to overcome the barriers of solid tumours, including the CARv3-TEAM-E cells that secrete a T-cell-engaging antibody against EGFR and produced dramatic, if transient, radiographic regressions in recurrent glioblastoma in a 2024 first-in-human trial. She previously led the first EGFRvIII CAR-T trial at Penn and directs cellular immunotherapy at MGH.
