Led the GD2 CAR-T trial in diffuse midline glioma and defined antigen density as a barrier to CAR-T in solid tumours.
Overview
Robbie Majzner was first author of the Nature trial of GD2-directed CAR T cells in H3K27M-mutant diffuse midline glioma, one of the first cell therapies to show activity in a paediatric brain tumour, and led the work showing CAR T cells need high antigen density and that B7-H3 is a broadly expressed paediatric target. He moved from Stanford to lead solid tumour immunotherapy at St. Jude.
