Overview
Michelle Monje showed that neuronal activity drives glioma growth through neuroligin-3 and synaptic integration, founding the field of cancer neuroscience, and led the first-in-human trial of GD2-directed CAR T cells in H3K27M-mutant diffuse midline glioma that produced radiographic and clinical improvements in a disease with no effective therapy. She was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship and leads paediatric neuro-oncology research at Stanford.
