Overview
Professor Marco Herold is Chief Executive Officer of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI), the research institute embedded in the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre, an Austin Health comprehensive cancer service in Heidelberg, Melbourne. He also heads the Blood Cancer and Immunotherapy Laboratory and La Trobe University's School of Cancer Medicine, and joined ONJCRI in 2023 from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. His research applies genome wide CRISPR screening to find drug resistance factors and targets that enhance immune therapies.
