New York breast oncologist and cancer geneticist who led OlympiAD, the trial that made olaparib the first PARP inhibitor approved for BRCA-mutated breast cancer.
Overview
Mark Robson leads the breast medicine service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and works at the interface of clinical genetics and breast oncology. He was first author of the 2017 New England Journal of Medicine report of OlympiAD, which showed that olaparib improved progression-free survival compared with standard chemotherapy in HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer with a germline BRCA mutation, the first PARP inhibitor approval in breast cancer.
