Overview
Mary McCormack was chief investigator of INTERLACE, the international trial showing six weeks of induction carboplatin and paclitaxel before standard chemoradiotherapy improves progression-free and overall survival in locally advanced cervical cancer, a result immediately implementable in low-resource settings where most cervical cancer occurs. She leads gynaecological radiotherapy research at UCLH.
