Overview
Rohit Bhargava is the Phillip and Ann Sharp Director of the Cancer Center at Illinois and holds the Grainger Distinguished Chair in Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The centre's history page records that it began in 2011 as the Cancer Community, led by him and a group of more than 50 Illinois faculty, before becoming a formal centre. His leadership team includes Deputy Director Paul Hergenrother and associate directors for translational research (Timothy Fan), shared resources, education, engagement and administration.
