Shlomi Codish

Prof. Shlomi Codish leads Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba as Director General. Soroka is a Clalit Health Services hospital with about 1,191 beds, the teaching hospital of Ben-Gurion University's Faculty of Health Sciences and the only major medical centre and Level 1 trauma centre for the roughly one million residents of the Negev; it is home to the Legacy Heritage Oncology Center and Dr Larry Norton Institute. Codish is an internal medicine physician who trained at Ben-Gurion University and Soroka, completed postdoctoral training in medical informatics at Yale, and previously served as Soroka's Deputy Director General and as Medical Director of Clalit's Southern District.
