Overview
Usha Menon was co-principal investigator of UKCTOCS, the largest cancer screening trial ever run, whose 2021 final report showed neither annual CA125-based multimodal screening nor ultrasound reduced ovarian cancer mortality despite a stage shift, a landmark negative result for early detection. She developed the Risk of Ovarian Cancer Algorithm and continues to lead early detection and biobank research at UCL.
