Ethiopia offers girls vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) in its national schedule, introduced in 2018; WHO's latest schedule lists one dose at age 9.
WHO's immunization data record HPV vaccine as introduced in Ethiopia in 2018. In the 2025 data the introduction is recorded as nationwide and the country reports a one-dose schedule. The routine schedule reported to WHO for 2025 gives one dose of quadrivalent vaccine to girls at age 9. The country's note in the WHO schedule table reads: "Females of age 9-14 years". For hepatitis B vaccine, WHO records the birth dose as in the schedule in 2025.
