TRACC
A UK study following 1,000 people after bowel cancer surgery with repeated blood tests for tumour DNA, to see how well a positive predicts the cancer coming back and whether the result can guide chemotherapy.
Overview
TRACC is the Royal Marsden-led UK programme tracking ctDNA after surgery for early colorectal cancer. The registry lists it as an observational study of 1,000 participants that started on 5 December 2016, still recruiting, with a primary completion date of 31 July 2029 and study completion of 31 July 2031. It is one of the three large national colorectal programmes (with CIRCULATE-Japan and CIRCULATE-US) whose readouts decide whether ctDNA-guided adjuvant therapy becomes standard outside a trial.
