Australia's national cancer screening programs

Australia runs three long-standing population screening programs, each free to eligible residents and each with its own government page stating the age range: the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program posts a home test kit every two years, BreastScreen Australia offers mammography through state services, and the National Cervical Screening Program uses HPV testing every five years with the option to collect the sample yourself. A National Lung Cancer Screening Program using low-dose CT for people with a significant smoking history began in July 2025.
