If you live in the United States or Canada and want to talk to someone about inherited cancer risk, this free directory finds genetic counsellors near you or by video and phone.
The National Society of Genetic Counselors' directory states that it offers access to over 3,300 genetic counsellors in the US and Canada. Searches can be made for counsellors who see patients in person at a location or for those who meet patients by telehealth (phone or video). The society states that the directory is a list of its members, not a referral service, makes no representation about the professional skills of those listed, and advises checking with your insurer whether genetic counselling and testing are covered.
