Crossbow Therapeutics makes antibody medicines that recognise fragments of proteins from inside cancer cells and pull the immune system's T cells onto them. Its first medicine is being tested in leukaemias and related blood cancers.
Crossbow Therapeutics, Inc., based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, develops T-cell receptor mimetic (TCRm) antibodies that bind tumour peptides presented on HLA, built into T-cell engagers it calls T-Bolt molecules. It was founded, seeded and incubated at MPM BioImpact. The lead programme CBX-250 targets a cathepsin G peptide presented by HLA-A*02:01 and is in the CROSSCHECK-001 phase 1 trial (NCT06994676) in relapsed or refractory AML, higher-risk MDS, CMML and CML, given under the skin; the company dosed its first patient in September 2025. A second programme, CBX-663, targets a TERT-derived peptide on HLA-A*02:01 and entered a phase 1 trial (NCT07779798) in myeloid malignancies, advanced solid tumours and recurrent glioblastoma, with a first patient dosed in September 2026. The company launched in July 2023 with an 80 million US dollar Series A led by MPM BioImpact and Pfizer Ventures, and raised a 77 million US dollar Series B in March 2026 co-led by Taiho Ventures and Arkin Bio Capital. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06994676, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in May 2025.
