Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer (ITCC)
aka ITCC, ITCC consortium
Europe's network of children's hospitals that run the first trials of new cancer drugs in children, so that European children can access experimental medicines close to home.
Overview
Founded in 2003 and coordinated from Gustave Roussy, ITCC links more than 60 European paediatric oncology centres and around 25 research laboratories to conduct early-phase (phase 1 and 2) trials of new anticancer agents in children and adolescents. It runs academic platform trials including ESMART (molecularly matched combinations at relapse, the European counterpart of Pediatric MATCH) and the MAPPYACTS sequencing programme, partners with industry on paediatric investigation plans, and works with SIOP Europe and ACCELERATE on regulatory strategy. ITCC-P4 built a library of paediatric patient-derived xenograft models for preclinical testing under the IMI programme.
