Paediatric oncologist and emeritus professor at the University of Birmingham who presides over ITCC, the European consortium for early-phase trials in childhood cancer.
Overview
Professor Pamela Kearns is President of Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer (ITCC), the European academic consortium established in 2003 as a not-for-profit organisation under French law to develop new medicines for children and adolescents with cancer; it was recognised as a European Category 1 Network for Paediatric Research by the European Medicines Agency's Enpr-EMA in January 2011. She is Emeritus Professor of Clinical Paediatric Oncology at the University of Birmingham. The consortium's governance page also lists Professor Gilles Vassal (University Paris Saclay and Gustave Roussy) as Chair of the Industry Strategy Committee and Carole Lecinse as Director of Operations, with disease committees co-chaired by clinicians from Milan, Utrecht, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, San Francisco and Copenhagen.
