Phrontline Biopharma designs antibody-drug conjugates, antibodies that carry a cell-killing drug to cancer cells, that recognise two targets at once and in some cases carry two drugs. Its first two medicines are in early trials for lung, head and neck and ovarian cancers.
Phrontline Biopharma, based in Pudong, Shanghai, develops bispecific and dual-payload antibody-drug conjugates under its SynTume platform. TJ101 is an EGFR x B7-H3 bispecific ADC for non-small cell lung cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and other tumours; it received FDA IND clearance in April 2025 and the first patient was dosed in its phase 1 trial (NCT07181473) in September 2025. TJ102, an FR-alpha x CDH6 bispecific dual-payload ADC for ovarian and renal cancers, entered a phase 1/2 study in ovarian cancer and other solid tumours (NCT07778498) in 2026. Preclinical programmes include TJ106 (biparatopic HER2 dual-payload ADC) and TJ108 (EGFR x HER3 dual-payload ADC). The company states it was founded on 11 January 2022, took angel financing from Med-Fine Capital in 2022 and a Pre-A round from Decheng Capital in 2023, signed a co-development collaboration with Samsung Bioepis in October 2025, and closed a USD 60 million Pre-A+ round led by Lapam Investment in November 2025. Founded in 2022, according to the company. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07181473, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in September 2025.
