AVZO-1418 is an experimental antibody-drug conjugate that targets two proteins, EGFR and HER3, on cancer cells. Avenzo Therapeutics licensed it from DualityBio and is testing it in a first phase 1/2 trial in advanced solid tumours.
AVZO-1418, also called DB-1418, is an antibody-drug conjugate that binds two targets, EGFR and HER3, and carries a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload; DualityBio built it on its Duality Innovative Bispecific Antibody Conjugate (DIBAC) platform. Avenzo Therapeutics and DualityBio announced an exclusive licence on 7 January 2025 giving Avenzo rights outside Greater China, with USD 50 million upfront and up to about USD 1.15 billion in milestones; at that point the drug was in studies before human testing. AVENTINE-1 (NCT07038343), sponsored by Avenzo with DualityBio as collaborator, is a phase 1/2 trial that started in June 2025 in locally advanced or metastatic epithelial solid tumours, with the drug given alone and possibly with other medicines. No results are recorded here.
