SHR-A1904 is Hengrui's experimental antibody-drug conjugate aimed at Claudin 18.2, in a phase 3 trial against standard second-line treatment for advanced stomach cancer. Merck KGaA holds an option to license it outside China.
SHR-A1904 is a Claudin 18.2-directed antibody-drug conjugate from Jiangsu Hengrui. In October 2023 Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, announced a collaboration with Hengrui that licensed the PARP1 inhibitor HRS-1167 and included an option to an exclusive worldwide (ex-China) licence for SHR-A1904; whether the option has been exercised was not found in the sources read. Hengrui's phase 3 trial (NCT06649292) compares SHR-A1904 with the investigator's choice of paclitaxel, docetaxel or irinotecan, measuring overall survival, in second-line Claudin 18.2-positive advanced gastric or gastro-oesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. Earlier and parallel trials test it in advanced solid tumours and pancreatic cancer, in combination with adebrelimab and chemotherapy, and in biliary tract, colorectal and neuroendocrine cancers. No results are recorded here.
