Mipletamig is a two-armed protein from Aptevo Therapeutics that holds a leukaemia cell and a T cell together so the T cell kills it. It is in an early trial with standard drugs in newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukaemia.
Mipletamig is a CD123 x CD3 T cell engager from Aptevo Therapeutics. After phase 1 dose escalation and expansion, Aptevo is running RAINIER, a phase 1b/2 dose-optimisation trial started in August 2024 in frontline acute myeloid leukaemia, combining mipletamig with venetoclax and azacitidine in patients unfit for intensive chemotherapy, to set a recommended phase 2 dose. The company reports favourable initial results; they are its own.
1.One arm of Mipletamig binds CD123 on the cancer cell.
