Vepdegestrant
Vepdegestrant is the first PROTAC ever approved (2026): a pill that tags the oestrogen receptor for destruction, for breast cancers with ESR1 mutations.
VERITAC-2: improved PFS versus fulvestrant in ESR1-mutant ER+/HER2- advanced breast cancer after CDK4/6 and endocrine therapy (no benefit in ESR1-wild-type). Approved Q2 2026. Arvinas/Pfizer. Marks the clinical arrival of targeted protein degradation.
